One thing that has become apparent is that Christianity is indeed a peace loving religion. Had Mohammed or any other Islamic figure been characterized the way that Jesus and His disciples were...there would be a violent reaction. I guess what they meant for evil, God has used to reveal the true peace loving religion. Christianity follows the Words of Christ and turns the other cheeck....while Islam follows the words of it's prophet by "killing the infidel."

If the real peace loving religion were to stand....it would be Christianity! Let' continue to honor our Lord by loving our enemies.

That is a great question...thanks for asking. The difference is that America is not a Christian nation. We are not a theocracy. Afghanistand and Iraq were countries that were Islamic owned and operated. Therefore the teachings to the Koran and Hadith are followed. Those two books endorse evangelism by the sword. GW and this military are not representing Christianity....they are representing the American Government.[SMILE]

The First Amendment places America head and shoulders above most nations. I understand that. Still, I think that propaganda terms such as Islamoterrorism effectively exploit a strong strain of bigotry in the country.
The same people who downgrade the Iraqis seem ready to denounce illegal Mexican immigrants. They don't care for black voting habits either.
This syndrome is not in keeping with the First Amendment at all.

I believe Christians should be against War, for the very reasons stated in one of the comments above. How, as a believer, can I kill the one I'm supposed to LOVE?

How can I support/fight in any war when I'm called to LOVE my enemies?
