Open Season on Christianity

September 25, 2007 / by willlangford

Hello Everyone!

Well if you have been wondering but were not sure....I think we can now safely say that Christianity is fair game for anyone to take a shot at.  Yesterday I saw the spoof of the Lord's Supper by the gay community.  I have to tell you that I was offended by it.  It bothers me that people who want respect will not show respect to others who happen to disagree with them.

In Christianity we are taught to turn the other cheek (though not everyone does) and perhaps that is one reason why we are such a popular target.  Let's face it....if that were a spoof on Islam something would be blown up.  Violence would break out.

I think it is important that as we continue to face this kind of ridicule that we not lose heart.  Let's remember that Jesus prepared us for this type of treatment and let's try to demonstrate the grace and love that He modeled.  I hope we will respond to bigotted hate with Christlike love.

Blessings

Will

You hit this right on. So very true and it seems to be getting worse all of the time.

That statement I copied from your post above here is hitting the nail right on the head. So very true. [SAD][HEART]
